ALHURRA Interview
In this video, I received a call from the ALH
URRA channel director, which is one of the Middle East’s most popular channels. They called to ask me if they could interview my friend Wafi and I, and tell of how we have become the very first founders of an Arabic broadcast radio channel within the United States of America.
Therefore, I arranged a plan with them. I decided at that time that I will have the come over to Moon Township for a special TV interview. Since this all took place, both the organizer of the channel and the crowd are so impressed about what we did. The interview focused its meeting with us on how Wafi and I started this broadcasting station. It was so very encouraging to us. In order to set up this radio channel, one needs this kind of encouragement in order to push them as far as they can go within the realms of their dreams.
The interviewers wanted to know what the topics were that Wafi and I are usually covering. As the founder of this radio station, it was important for me to talk about the reasoning behind this radios establishment. There is a massive need for the deliverance of a learning of our culture’s (and others like it) customs and traditions to the American people. There is a pervasive need for western culture to find out who the Arabic people (and all middle eastern people) truly are. Islam in particular is misunderstood. Therefore, the major agenda Wafi and I had (and still have) is to make it possible for the American people to really get to know us at a personal and human level. We want to promote better understanding between both of the diverse cultures and also clear up negative stereotypes. Most importantly, our main goal is to unite the cultures and create peace among the cultures (of course).
